On Thursday, March 21, Skyline College celebrated its 13th Annual President’s Breakfast at the South San Francisco Conference Center. The event drew over 300 guests, including local community movers, business leaders, government officials and Skyline College faculty, staff and students.
The President’s Breakfast is the most important fundraising event for the Skyline College President’s Innovation Fund (PIF), an initiative designed to support creativity and innovation at Skyline College. The fund provides seed money for programs and services pioneered by the college faculty and staff that support the college’s mission, vision and values. This year, the event raised more than $96,000 from sponsorships, donations and pledges.
The breakfast kicked off with a production number from the cast of “Guys and Dolls,” followed by a heart-warming video highlighting a few of the PIF programs, including the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, Sustainable Campus Initiative and the College Lecture Series. Skyline student leaders Lloyd Pena and Jose Luis Sanchez-Sosa addressed the crowd, underscoring how PIF programs have enhanced their college experience.
