Coverflow-at-Vator-Splash-130213_CoverFlow (8)On Wednesday, February 13, tech boy band Cover Flow once again rocked the Vator Splash after-party at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco. Composed of Silicon Valley heavy hitters Ethan Beard (Facebook), Tim Chang (Mayfield Fund), Prashant Fuloria (Mayfield Fund), Philip Kaplan (Fandalism), Raj Kapoor (Mayfield Fund), and Kristian Segerstrale (Electronic Arts), the band plays pop-rock hits by artists that range from Bon Jovi to the Black Eyed Peas.

Dressed in fiery colors in celebration of Valentine’s day, the band kicked off the party with Bruno Mars’ red hot hit “Locked Out of Heaven,” with Raj rounding up the crowd and rallying them to the dance floor. New mother Pang Fua Her looked radiant as she belted out Titanium by David Guetta. The band played one sizzling hit after another, including tunes by Niki Minaj, Calvin Harris and The Wanted, keeping the dance floor on fire all night long. They closed out the show with a sing-along of Don’t Stop Believing, with few lucky ladies joining the band on stage for five minutes of infamy.

The Vator Splash after-party guest list read like a “Who’s Who” of Silicon Valley, with folks like Larry Marcus (Pandora/Soundhound), Bambi Francisco (Vator) and David Hornick (August Capital) in attendance, along with dozens of C-level execs, entrepreneurs, investors and venture capitalists. Vator Splash is a bi-annual pitch competition for early-stage start-ups. In 2011, Froomz was a Top 10 Finalist at the event.
