The Young Filipino Professionals Association (YFPA) was formed in 2003 with the mission to foster professional connections, ideas and expertise to support and engage Filipino professionals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
In carrying out this mission, they host monthly mixers, volunteer events and professional development workshops in collaboration with other organizations, such as the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), City Slickers and Ronald McDonald Charity.
This month, YFPA hosted a Speed Networking event at Palomino in San Francisco. Over 40 guests attended the mixer, all eager to meet, greet and build new connections. During each fast-paced, 6-minute rotation, participants were able to network face-to-face before moving on to meet someone new.
The event allowed participants the opportunity to meet more people, make more contacts, connect with each other and bounced of ideas in one short evening
Upcoming YFPA events include a Summer Soiree on Wednesday, June 13 (in collaboration with NAAAP) and a workshop on Building Rapport on Wednesday, July 25, to be led by Froomz very own Christina Dunham, a Dale Carnegie-certified trainer and instructor for the Sales Advantage program.
YFPA mixers are held on the First Wednesday of every month at various locations around the Bay Area. For more information, visit them on Facebook or at YFPA.org.
