The prices that you are seeing where some venues have a low minimum price vs. a high minimum price are dependent upon whether they serve food and beverage or not. Some venues are only renting out a bear bones room where you will have a table and chairs and you can hold a meeting, additional things such as A/V or microphones may result in an additional expense. Other venues’ pricing may reflect a much more elaborate set up where food and beverage is being served, thus the higher minimum price. For example, meeting space is going to have a lower minimum price because they only rent space by the hour for the meeting, whereas, a hotel with banquet facilities, requires the potential client to purchase food and beverage to secure their event space.
